What Wairiri does

From first geological idea to an operating mine

Wairiri connects the geological, field, data, permitting and development work needed to move a project forward—from a workable exploration programme through geological models, resource definition, feasibility and consenting.

01

Project generation, historical research & evaluation

Archival and technical research, geological review, opportunity screening, tenure assessment and a clear strategy for testing an early-stage idea.

02

Permitting & workable programmes

Prospecting, exploration and mining permit applications, staged work programmes, budgets, supporting evidence and regulator responses.

03

Field exploration, sampling & survey

Geological mapping, geochemical sampling, trenching, test-pitting, RTK GPS survey control and practical field programme delivery.

04

Data integration & geological modelling

Data compilation and validation, QGIS, geophysical interpretation, three-dimensional geological models and progressive target development.

05

Drilling, QAQC, resource definition & reporting

Drill planning and delivery, logging and sampling systems, assay QAQC, validated geological databases and support for resource estimation and JORC reporting.

06

Feasibility, consenting & mine development

Feasibility and mine-planning inputs, resource consenting, land access and specialist coordination, supporting progress towards an operating mine.

Technology & intelligence

Experienced judgement. Better tools. Better information.

Wairiri combines geological experience with GIS, modelling, automation and AI-assisted technical workflows. We use AI where it genuinely improves the work: searching and compiling large historical datasets, reviewing technical information, checking and reconciling project data, and monitoring publicly available permit information.

The objective is not to replace geological judgement. It is to give experienced people better information, faster, and leave more time for interpretation, fieldwork and decision-making.

01

Search & compilation

Historical reports, drilling, assays, maps and technical literature can be searched, extracted and cross-referenced more efficiently while retaining source tracking.

02

Checking & reconciliation

Structured workflows help identify missing information, duplicate records, conflicting datasets, QAQC issues and inconsistencies before they become embedded in interpretation.

03

Automated permit intelligence

Selected public permit information can be monitored automatically so potentially relevant changes are surfaced promptly for geological and commercial review.

AI and automation support the work; they do not replace geological judgement. Technical outputs are reviewed by experienced people before they are relied on for interpretation, advice or formal submissions.
